Peter,
Here is my brief chess resume:
I am an International Chess Master. I was taught chess in Russia
by the coaches of the Dvoretsky Chess School - the best chess school in the world. During the last five years
I won over 40 USCF Grand Prix tournaments, including four Pennsylvania state championships. I qualified twice to play
in the U.S. Closed Championships. I have beaten many Grandmasters, including Najer (U.S. Open Champion 2002), Ivanov
(U.S. Champion 1995 and Pan American Champion 2000), Timoshenko, Stripunsky, Bisguier (former U.S. Champion),
etc. I took clear first places in Maryland Open 2001 (over GM Novikov and 3 IMs) and Baltimore Open 1999 (over GM
Wojtkiewicz and 3 IMs), among other tournaments. I placed among the top 20 in the U.S. by annual Grand Prix
tournament points for 4 consecutive years. My peak USCF rating is 2504, and my peak FIDE rating is 2443. I also teach
chess privately and in groups. My chess students won numerous scholastic and adult tournaments (among recent,
2003 World Open U1000 prize, Tullah Hanley Grand Prix U1200, NJ Open U1200, all clear first places).

Hello Peter,
I will post your
website on my scholastic links page if this is okay with you.
I will also post your upcoming camp (a bit late, but
we're finally going up late, late, late Monday night/Tuesday morning)...all free.
In future, keep me informed of
ALL your events and results and I'll post them.
Glad you enjoyed The Amateur's Mind...writing it was NOT easy. I don't
travel much anymore -- Seattle in Jan. for the U.S. Championships, and Asia (Japan, China, Singapore, Burma, Thailand,
etc.) every two years for an exploratory vacation, and that's it. However, if I do ever get to Jersey, I'll certainly
let you know.
I hope my site puts your center a bit more in the public eye. Also, you'll notice a huge (positive)
change in my site in another 2 months...a total redesign.
You will notice a questionnaire on the scholastic pages,
filling it out would be extremely helpful.
Thanks!
Jeremy Silman

kindergarten children controlling the center, developing their pieces and castling early, and actually understanding why!
All levels.
